As a vital member of our emergency response team, the Senior Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) plays a crucial role in providing immediate care and support during medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies. Responsibilities:


The Senior Emergency Medical Technician is responsible for:

  • Assessing and managing medical emergencies in collaboration with nursing and medical staff.
  • Providing patient care tailored to individual needs while adhering to established protocols.
  • Maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Working under the guidance of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of Basic EMT Training or relevant Emergency Room experience is essential.
  • Current BLS certification is required upon hire and must be maintained.

Facility-Specific Requirements:

  • Current ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained.
  • Current PALS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained.
  • Certification or licensure as an EMT by the appropriate state agency is mandatory.
