Your Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Civil or Environmental Engineer with expertise in the design and construction of water and wastewater systems.
Your Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will leverage their technical and managerial skills to oversee the detailed design of water and wastewater projects while leading a team of design professionals and technicians. Responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of design professionals and construction quality assurance personnel.
- Managing infrastructure projects related to water and wastewater.
- Engaging with clients and internal teams to discuss project scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Contributing to business development initiatives across the organization.
- Applying and sharing knowledge of treatment processes, wastewater collection, and water system design.
- Overseeing the preparation of engineering reports and construction documents, including design drawings and specifications.
- Researching and addressing issues related to water resources that may affect project outcomes.
- Ensuring project requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
- Providing oversight and coordination for multiple concurrent projects during construction.
- Participating actively in local professional organizations related to civil, environmental, or water works.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Proven ability to work well with diverse teams and personalities.
- Experience in mentoring staff to foster their professional growth.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to review others' work for accuracy and completeness.
- Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of client expectations, project budgeting, and proposal development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe/Bluebeam.
- Familiarity with relevant design software such as AutoCAD Civil3D, InfoWORKS, Biowin, GPS-X, and Visual MINTEQ is preferred.
A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution is required. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred. Candidates should hold a Professional Engineer license in Georgia or be eligible for reciprocity. A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience is required, with a preference for design, construction, and management experience in Georgia.
This position typically involves working in an office environment with computer usage and desk work, alongside potential fieldwork that may expose the individual to various weather conditions.
