Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Atlanta. As a key member of our team, you will work on a variety of projects related to stormwater management, dam assessments, and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support design analysis of dams and stormwater infrastructure projects using quantitative and qualitative evaluation techniques.
  • Prepare construction documents (plans and specifications) for dams and stormwater infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and modeling.
  • Perform water quantity and quality modeling.
  • Analyze watershed and water quality data using geographic information system (GIS) and statistical techniques.
  • Develop or prepare descriptive charts, figures/maps, and tables/matrices.
  • Contribute to project documentation and deliverables such as memos and reports.
  • Support cost-benefit analyses.
  • Assist with quality control and assurance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental/civil engineering (or a related field).
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification and up to 3 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated educational and relevant work experience showing strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Background or training in stormwater design and/or watershed management.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic models, such as HEC-RAS, SWMM, and/or ICPR (StormWise).
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS.
  • Desire to learn other design software programs.
  • Computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Programming capabilities preferred.
