Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Food Service Associate I to join our team at Winchester Hospital. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality food is prepared and served to our patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble food items for customers at assigned food stations, taking into account dietary restrictions, allergies, and ethnic preferences.
- Track and manage inventory, advising supervisors of inventory counts and ordering food and supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to high sanitation standards and completing daily cleaning assignments.
- Deliver trays to patient rooms and areas as needed, and assist with the assembly of Meals on Wheels.
- Prepare food from basic recipes and assist with food preparation and storage, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior food service experience with food preparation and assembly, customer service experience, and cash handling experience preferred.
- Basic math skills and ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English required.
