Role Overview: The Injection Mold Maintenance Technician is crucial to our operations, tasked with ensuring the optimal performance of plastic injection molds, which are vital to our digital manufacturing capabilities. This position is integral in upholding the high manufacturing standards that our clients depend on through a thorough mold maintenance program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule for all plastic injection molds.
- Conduct regular maintenance activities using both machine and hand tools to ensure molds are maintained in peak condition.
- Keep precise records of maintenance tasks to monitor the performance and status of each mold.
- Collaborate with management to prioritize maintenance activities effectively.
- Assist in the setup of injection molds as necessary, facilitating smooth manufacturing operations.
- Ensure personal tools are well-maintained and ready for use in mold maintenance tasks.
- Work collaboratively across teams, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plastic injection mold maintenance, including expertise in mold disassembly, reassembly, and preventive upkeep.
- High School Diploma or GED; additional education in a relevant field is advantageous.
- Familiarity with wiring manifolds and hot runner systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others, showcasing strong teamwork capabilities.
- Proficient problem-solving skills and a meticulous approach to tasks.
