Job Summary

The Registered Nurse - Critical Care is a key member of our interdisciplinary team, responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in critical need. As a proactive and compassionate nurse, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exemplary Practice and Outcomes
    • Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in the performance of clinical care using evidence-based practice, analytical/critical thinking, and individualized care coordination.
    • Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that adapts to population-specific characteristics, cultural diversity, and patient goals.
    • Partner with patients and significant others to set and achieve care goals, using effective communication methods and timely updates.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration
    • Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care that promotes the professional care delivery model, including diverse and inclusive interdisciplinary communication methods.
    • Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration by practicing fiscally responsible care and promoting the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
    • Participate in performance improvement, research, and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care, including initiating and leading activities and promoting inter/intra-disciplinary processes.
  • Professional Development and Initiative
    • Complete initial and ongoing professional competency assessments, mandatory education, and population-specific education.
    • Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses and staff to ensure a qualified workforce and model professional practice.
  • Evidence-Based Practice and Research
    • Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement in nursing, including value analysis and decision-making processes.
    • Uphold health care system/organizational policies, procedures, and clinical competencies, including legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements and standards.
  • Resources and Support
    • Proactively plan for patient care across the care continuum, giving direct patient care and participating in the development of protocols and procedures.
    • Support efficient and effective use of human and material resources.
