Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Computer Desktop Support Technician to become a vital part of our team. This role is based in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct system analysis and manage user and server accounts, including group policy management and scripting.
  • Respond to all support requests received through various channels, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Utilize automated tools for troubleshooting hardware and software issues across platforms such as Windows 10, iOS, and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Oversee the installation of new computers and peripherals, ensuring seamless operation and data preservation.
  • Maintain and update approved Microsoft Windows OS images, providing feedback on software and configuration adjustments.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for computers and network devices in both classified and unclassified settings.
  • Develop and implement new software and patches prior to general release.
  • Provide expertise in specific areas of service desk operations.
  • Facilitate video teleconferencing events for users utilizing CISCO and Microsoft Teams.
  • Communicate updates regarding the status of video teleconferencing events to team members and users.

Qualifications:
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • IAT Level I Certification as per DoD Directive 8140 (e.g., CompTIA A+ CE, CCNA Security Training, Network+ CE).
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in systems administration or a related field.
  • Experience with network installations and upgrades.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for printers and other office equipment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft server environments.
  • Knowledge of basic network tools.
  • Certification in VMware or Cisco within 60 days of hire is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active T3 security clearance.
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
  • Background in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • Experience in Knowledge Management or process development.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in simplifying complex information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Proactive in preventing future incidents.
Security Clearance:
  • US Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Background investigation requirements include National Agency Check with Local Agency and Credit Checks.
  • Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility for access to classified information.
  • DOD Security Clearance is required (minimum Secret Level).
Physical Requirements:

This position may require prolonged periods of sitting or standing, as well as the ability to perform tasks that involve bending, reaching, and kneeling. Candidates should be able to lift up to thirty pounds as necessary.
