Key Responsibilities
  • Execute Medication Therapy Management (MTM) initiatives through proficiency in MTM platforms.
  • Adhere to established best practices for workflow and MTM platform utilization when interacting with patients, scheduling appointments, and performing data entry.
  • Utilize the pharmacy computer to complete tasks necessary for optimal patient care, including data entry.
  • Provide thorough notes and documentation within the platform to ensure proper reimbursement, patient safety, and seamless management of patients among staff.
  • Maintain adherence to company, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment to meet company, local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Act in a fiscally responsible manner, meeting financial goals and expectations.
  • Accurately read and data enter new prescriptions, including billing to third parties, compounds, calculations, and free-form prescriptions.
  • Resolve third-party insurance billing issues to meet customer requirements.
  • Effectively communicate with internal Giant Eagle team members verbally and through email.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 17 years of age and enrolled in a Board-approved high school technician training program in Ohio.
  • Lifting Requirements: Up to 25 pounds.
  • Certification Required: Pharmacy Technician Trainee, if applicable by state.
  • Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age, or 17 years of age and enrolled in a Board-approved high school technician training program in Ohio.
