Job Summary:

The Medical Technologist Reg(ASCP) position is responsible for providing accurate and timely patient test results for diagnosis and management of human illness. This role utilizes automation and computerization, as well as manual methods, to ensure quality control and instrument operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate and timely patient test results
  • Quality control and instrument operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Handling of blood, tissue, fecal matter, sputum, urine, spinal fluid, and other body fluids
  • Specimens may be contaminated with infectious diseases, including HIV and other blood-borne pathogens

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Registered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP)
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Experience in an automated clinical laboratory

Work Environment:

This position is a night shift role with 32 scheduled weekly hours in the Core Lab department.
