Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Specialist to join our team at Bonnell Aluminum. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate packing of finished products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform packing functions in accordance with customer specifications and company quality standards.
  • Verify that all metal is packed properly and adequately secured.
  • Tag each bundle with a packing label and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Inspect parts for surface defects, scratches, blisters, die lines, and other imperfections.
  • Measure part length and verify compliance with shop order requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, line leaders, and coworkers to ensure smooth production.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety protocols.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and report any quality or equipment concerns to supervisors.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires regular standing, walking, and use of hands to handle objects. Occasional stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements
  • Ability to read and understand shop orders and tape measures.
  • Capacity to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and use banding equipment, air nail gun, and radial arm wood saw.
  • Basic math skills and ability to understand decimals, fractions, and tolerances.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
