About the Role

Maersk is a global leader in integrated logistics, and we're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Air Freight Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Direct Transport Sales team, you will be responsible for driving growth and revenue through the development of new business opportunities and the management of existing customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned customers and budget base, pursuing and securing new Air Freight business in line with business objectives
  • Identify customer needs and pain points, and provide value-based solutions
  • Build a good understanding of target customers and the assigned account base
  • Communicate significant trends, rate changes, and policies to assigned customers
  • Research and understand the market to identify and establish business contacts with potential customers
  • Research and analyze global and local industry trends for Air Freight
  • Ensure the customer relationship management tool (Salesforce) is updated with all opportunities, and ensure a full sales opportunity funnel, with opportunities at all stages of the sales cycle
  • Work closely with local North America Air Freight Product organization to grow Air Freight and revenues
  • Work closely with the capacity and campaign manager to formalize commercial plans and ensure maximization of asset utilization
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years' work experience in a sales capacity within the International Air Freight industry
  • Proficiency in persuasive selling
  • Ability to be both persuasive and influential
  • Results-driven and capable of working under pressure while keeping sight of the strategy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry sales-related tools
