Job Title: Network Systems Engineer

Our client, a leading defense contractor, is seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Engineer to join their team in Scottsdale, AZ.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex IP network systems. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop network solutions that meet customer expectations and technical performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform communication network requirements analysis and IP network system design
  • Develop network solutions to meet customer expectations and technical performance while staying within schedule and cost constraints
  • Perform functional analysis, performance analysis, and detailed trade studies
  • Support system integration and test, verification, and interface definition studies of the system
  • Develop and evaluate systems, networks, and information systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specifications
  • May provide system accreditation/certification evaluation and test support to ensure all technical security features of the system are considered and function properly
  • Participate in Modeling and Simulation activities
  • Research and analyze data to determine feasibility of design or application
  • Provide leadership and/or direction to lower-level employees
  • Provide engineering support to proposals
  • Guide the development and test teams on successful completion of network design implementation and verification
  • Be creative and innovative, requiring advanced decision-making skills
  • Recommend methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel
Requirements:
  • Excellent knowledge of current state-of-the-art IP Networking techniques and technologies
  • Excellent use and understanding of systems engineering and development lifecycle concepts and principles
  • Excellent knowledge of other related communication network disciplines
  • Proficiency with requirements management & network system modeling tools
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Working understanding of basic project leadership principles
