Job Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Design Engineer to join our team in Atlanta. This position will design structural systems for various construction types and industries, including manufacturing, distribution, data centers, commercial, industrial, and parking. The successful candidate will work directly with Project Managers and Engineers of Record to develop project designs, calculations, and assessment reports. They will also perform analysis of existing structures, develop drawings and specifications, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with Project Managers and Engineers of Record to develop project designs, calculations, and assessment reports.
  • Perform analysis of existing structures.
  • Develop drawings and specifications for use during construction and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Assist in project coordination and meetings with internal and external team members.
  • Review project submittals and shop drawings.
  • Visit projects during construction to learn construction practices and provide on-site construction observation.
  • Organize field data to facilitate analysis and problem-solving.
  • Interact with higher-level engineers and design technicians.
  • Attend client, architect, and contractor meetings.
  • Learns to engage with potential clients to expand business relationships.
  • Performs calculations per design specifications and industry standards.
  • Utilizes Structural Design Software, such as RAM Structural Systems, ETBAS, SAFE, SAP, RAM Elements, and TEKLA.
  • Shares information across all disciplines to confirm deliverables are compliant with client expectations and established quality standards.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with 0-2 years of related experience or Master's in Civil Engineering.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
  • EIT preferred.
