About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Attorney to join our team at Jobot. As a Construction Attorney, you will be responsible for handling construction defect litigation and construction defense matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on construction-related issues, including contract disputes and construction defects.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate construction contracts, including design-build, EPC, and traditional design-bid-build contracts.
  • Represent the company in construction defect litigation, providing robust defense strategies and solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project objectives, identify legal risks, and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in construction law, regulations, and industry practices that could impact the company.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing with the state bar.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Construction Attorney, preferably with a focus on construction defect and construction defense.
  • Proven experience in handling construction defect litigation and construction defense matters.
  • Strong knowledge of construction law, contract law, and dispute resolution.
  • Exceptional negotiation, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound legal judgments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
