Heavy Duty Truck Technician

The Service Technician role at Palmer Trucks is a critical position that requires a skilled and experienced individual to diagnose and repair heavy and medium-duty trucks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel engines and be able to perform routine maintenance procedures, diagnostic tests, and repairs.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspections and diagnose issues with heavy-duty trucks
Conduct routine maintenance procedures, including oil changes and tire rotations
Use computerized equipment and specialized tooling to diagnose and repair issues
Test components and systems to ensure proper function
Participate in technical training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques
Requirements
2+ years of experience in a heavy-duty truck repair environment
Strong knowledge of diesel engines and mechanics
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
