Job Summary:
The Senior Client Manager, Employee Benefits Specialist serves as a technical resource to clients, advisors, insurance company partners, and prospects while providing prompt, efficient, and high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities- Policy Management: Manage all policy activity and stewardship aspects in the book of business.
- Claims Analysis: Analyze and report on relevant claims data for larger accounts, spotting trends and comparing client data to industry benchmarks.
- Client Compliance: Ensure client compliance with respect to benefits and serve as an informed resource to clients on the impact of the Affordable Care Act.
- Proposal Development: Gather information needed to present to insurance company marketplace for proposals, present options, and make appropriate recommendations.
- Enrollment Meetings: Conduct effective enrollment meetings as needed with prepared collaterals.
- Accuracy and Timeliness: Maintain a concern for accuracy, timeliness, and completion when interacting with current and prospective clients, the firm, and insurance company partners, to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims while demonstrating strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- House Accounts: Manage some house accounts without assistance from leadership and/or an Advisor.
- Account Review: Review existing accounts to determine if additional lines of insurance should be solicited and/or if changes need to be made throughout the year and at renewal.
- Insurance Partnerships: Cultivate strong relationships with insurance company partners.
- Marketplace Presentations: Present risks to the insurance marketplace for quoting, as needed.
- Client Requests: Receive phone calls and email requests for options and changes to existing coverage and/or new policies.
- Client Meetings: Meet with clients at the firm office or occasionally at their place of business.
- Process Improvement: Look for opportunities to improve the firm, Business Segment, and processes. Bring issues and discrepancies to the attention of appropriate leadership.
- State Insurance License: Obtain and maintain state insurance license or other state insurance license(s), as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide risk management consulting or risk transfer solutions as necessary in states where the firm functions (or be willing and able to obtain all required licenses within the first 90 days of employment).
- Insurance Experience: 5+ years of insurance-related experience.
- Presentation Skills: Demonstrated effective presentation skills through both verbal and written communications.
- Software Knowledge: Working knowledge of appropriate software.
- Firm Values: Demonstrate the firm's core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with the corporate culture.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Travel Requirements: Some travel may be required.
