Position Overview: We are currently seeking skilled Contract Senior Video Game Testers to support a major client in the gaming sector. As a Senior Video Game Tester, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of video game titles across various platforms. This position is studio-based, and candidates must have substantial experience in video game quality assurance, with a thorough understanding of industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of video game testers, offering guidance and training to ensure exceptional testing outcomes.
  2. Work collaboratively with project managers and stakeholders to create and implement detailed test plans, test cases, and testing strategies that align with client objectives.
  3. Conduct comprehensive testing of video game titles across multiple platforms, including PC, console, and mobile, to identify and document defects and issues.
  4. Manage and prioritize testing activities to meet project timelines and deliver high-quality results.
  5. Assist in the recruitment and training of new video game testers as the team expands.
  6. Maintain thorough documentation of testing processes, including test plans and bug reports.
  7. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing updates on testing progress and addressing any risks or issues.
  8. Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in video game quality assurance, sharing insights with the team to foster continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma/GED or some college education.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in video game quality assurance, with a solid grasp of QA principles and methodologies.
  3. Demonstrated experience testing video game titles across various platforms.
  4. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively mentor a team.
  5. Proficiency in industry-standard testing tools and software.
  6. Attention to detail and analytical skills to prioritize testing activities based on project needs.
  7. Adaptability to changing project requirements with a proactive approach.
  8. A genuine passion for gaming and a deep understanding of gaming mechanics and platforms.
