Position Information:
The Medical Assistant works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care, under the direction of a physician.
The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care by performing specific services, including personal care and comfort measures, to ensure the best possible patient experience.
The Medical Assistant understands the needs of the practice and supports the mission and values of WakeMed, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care and improving health outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of a physician
- Perform specific services, including personal care and comfort measures
- Support the mission and values of WakeMed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve high-quality patient care
Requirements:
- 2 Years Clinical - Medical Assistant experience preferred
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Graduate Medical Assisting preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant required within 24 months of hire
Work Schedule:
Variable, 12 hour shifts, 8am-8pm
Weekend and Call Requirements:
As needed
