We specialize in delivering program management and facilities engineering services to support the missions of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and other federal agencies.
Position Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer will engage in engineering responsibilities related to the planning and design of tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical systems. This role includes overseeing the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of various mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement cost-effective modifications to enhance safety and reliability.
2. Conduct design work for new construction, renovations, and improvements of facilities.
3. Interpret and adapt engineering methods to develop design calculations, layouts, and specifications.
4. Perform construction inspections and quality control beyond the expertise of construction managers.
5. Develop cost estimates and timelines for projects.
6. Review and analyze designs, plans, and specifications for technical efficiency.
7. Prepare technical reports, contract documents, and final construction drawings.
8. Serve as a technical representative during contract negotiations and administration.
9. Monitor and manage projects related to construction and renovations of facilities.
10. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Working Conditions:
This position may involve remote and challenging working conditions, including long hours and exposure to various environmental factors.
Qualifications:
1. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance; US Citizenship is required.
2. A degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; a licensed mechanical engineer is preferred.
3. A minimum of four years of design experience is necessary, with capabilities in HVAC load determination, equipment selection, and plumbing design.
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2012 or later is essential.
5. Experience with project development, contracting, and construction documentation is required.
6. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills are necessary.
7. Familiarity with project mobilization, quality compliance, and safety protocols is advantageous.
