Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Connecticut Institute for Communities, Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience in evaluating and treating patients with mental and behavioral health disorders, including substance abuse disorders.

As a member of our multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will work closely with our Chief of Behavioral Health and Chief Medical Officer to oversee the treatment and medication management for a diverse pediatric and adolescent patient population in an outpatient community health setting.

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work with our Psychiatric Residents in a training and supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with mental and behavioral health disorders, including substance abuse disorders
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to oversee treatment and medication management
  • Supervise Psychiatric Residents in a training and supervisory capacity
  • Collaborate with our Chief of Behavioral Health and Chief Medical Officer to develop and implement treatment plans
Requirements
  • Physician's license and CSR from the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health
  • Board certification or ability to become certified
  • Previous clinical responsibility, including crisis intervention, brief assessments, individual and group psychotherapy, and substance abuse treatment
  • At least 1 year's experience and previous supervision
