Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

JFS at Home is seeking a qualified Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide specialized services built on integrity, compassion, social responsibility, and humanitarian values.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a caring and compassionate individual to join our team in providing personalized care to elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide reminders to take prescribed medications and assist with mobility around the house or outside.
  • Assist with planning and preparing meals and help with physical therapy exercises.
  • Complete client's shopping or accompany them to successfully do so.
  • Transfer patients to commode or toilet, bed to mobility assistance equipment.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents.
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
  • Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary.
  • Record and report activities related to personal care responsibilities, as required.
  • Respond promptly to client requests and document all client-related activities in a timely manner.
  • Participate in performance improvement in services and react to change productively.
Qualifications:
  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every single day - must have Bodily Injury Liability coverage in auto insurance policy.
  • Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
  • Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends (Flexibility with 4 hour shifts preferred).
  • Prior experience in a healthcare, hospital, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA License and 24 hours current CEU's.
  • Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client).
