Medical Support Specialist

The Medical Assistant will work under the direction of a physician/provider, assisting in the examination and treatment of patients while delivering high-quality care and services. This is a per diem position that will support all UNLV Health clinics in the area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the examination and treatment of patients
  • Deliver high-quality care and services
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Graduation from a Medical Assistant Program Required
  • One year medical assisting experience in an ambulatory/clinical setting preferred
  • Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant Certification or Registration required or obtained within 90 days of employment
  • Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of employment

Benefits:

  • Clinic Hours are Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM (Actual hours may vary depending on business need)
  • Medical Assistant and CPR Certifications reimbursed by UNLV Health
  • Pay may be higher than stated range, based on experience
