Key Responsibilities- Provide developmental and technical assistance to CCSNH faculty and staff in the use of academic technology tools to develop technology-enhanced learning experiences.
- Work collaboratively with faculty on the conversion of face-to-face instructional materials to remote and/or online delivery that enhances the learning experience.
- Support the development of instructional materials that are consistent with instructional design principles for online teaching and learning.
- Develop and deliver engaging training opportunities for faculty and staff on utilizing technology components within their courses, best practices for technology success, etc.
- Provide technological training support and troubleshooting to academic units and end users as needed via email, phone, video conferencing, or face-to-face meetings.
- Design, develop, and produce support documentation for teaching tools and the learning management system using a variety of modalities.
- Explore, research, evaluate, and advise on new and emerging instructional technologies to assist faculty with building learner-centered experiences.
- Sources new solutions for existing problems and makes recommendations on improvements to the team.
- Participate in reviewing, testing, piloting, and deploying new technology features that enhance student success.
- Promote and pilot solutions to ensure validity and create faculty buy-in for online and hybrid assessments, activities, and delivery formats.
- Assist in finding creative solutions to problems related to the LMS and other teaching and learning applications.
- Assist with the assessment of student and faculty use of the LMS.
- Monitor the learning technology environment for tools, best practices, and resources and emerging technologies.
- Comply with all college, system, state, and federal rules and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Education.
- Three years of experience in educational technology, including instructional design, training, and user support.
- Strong demonstrated technical skills using Canvas LMS, Zoom, Kaltura, MS SharePoint, Macintosh, and PC platforms.
- Knowledge/experience with authoring tools and educational technology standards.
- Understanding of adult-learning theory and instructional design.
- Familiarity with web best practices regarding accessibility, navigation, and usability.
- Experience working in a higher education environment.
- Demonstrated technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation.
- Experience in conducting trainings in a one-on-one or group setting.
- Experience using technologies to design student-centered learning materials in a digital learning environment.
