Job Overview

The role of an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) involves responding to urgent medical situations and delivering essential life support services to patients. EMTs are responsible for transporting individuals to suitable medical facilities while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to various medical emergencies and facilitate inter-facility transfers as required.
  • Provide immediate medical assistance at the scene and during transportation, ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Administer basic life support techniques in accordance with certification standards.
  • Engage in additional duties related to emergency medical services and the enhancement of the healthcare system.
Additional Duties:
  • Exemplify professionalism and leadership, prioritizing patient care at all times.
  • Maintain compliance with Team Mobile Health Care's operational procedures.
  • Continuously seek improvements in service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure readiness of emergency vehicles and equipment before each shift.
  • Respond to emergencies with caution, following all legal and safety regulations.
  • Practice infection control measures and adhere to universal precautions during patient interactions.
  • Lead and guide team members in emergency situations when necessary.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care and maintain clear communication with receiving medical staff.
  • Complete all necessary documentation for patient interactions and care provided.
  • Participate in community education initiatives and public relations activities.
  • Engage in ongoing education to maintain certifications and enhance skills.
  • Provide necessary documentation of certifications and licenses to the organization.
  • Report for shifts in the designated uniform and adhere to punctuality standards.
  • Assist in training new personnel and interns as required.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure operational readiness.
  • Fulfill any other responsibilities as assigned.
Work Environment:
  • This position offers flexible scheduling options, including full-time, part-time, or per diem shifts.
  • Work is conducted in various locations as determined by operational needs.
  • Supervision is provided by the designated daily supervisor.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Current EMT certification from the State Department of Public Health.
  • Valid CPR certification from an accredited organization.
  • Active driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment in emergency situations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with diverse groups.
  • Demonstrated capability to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to lead teams in critical care scenarios.
  • Physical capability to lift and maneuver patients as required.
  • Ability to perform tasks that may involve extended periods of standing or walking.
