Job Overview

The Basic Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) plays a crucial role in responding to medical emergencies and providing essential life support services.   • Respond to various medical emergencies and facilitate inter-facility transfers as needed.
  • Deliver emergency medical care at the scene and during transport, ensuring compliance with state and company regulations.
  • Perform basic life support procedures in accordance with certification standards.
  • Engage in additional duties related to emergency and non-emergency medical services as required.
Additional Duties:
  • Exemplify professionalism and leadership, prioritizing patient care above all.
  • Maintain knowledge of and adhere to Team Mobile Health Care's operational procedures.
  • Continuously seek improvements in operations and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Ensure readiness of vehicles and equipment for service at the start of each shift and after every call.
  • Respond to emergencies with appropriate care, following all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Practice infection control measures and adhere to Universal Precautions during patient interactions.
  • Lead and supervise team members during emergency situations when necessary.
  • Provide comprehensive reports on patient status to receiving medical staff upon arrival.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately for each patient encounter.
  • Participate in community education initiatives and public relations activities as directed.
  • Engage in ongoing education to maintain certifications and enhance skills.
  • Report to shifts in the appropriate uniform and maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Assist in training new personnel and interns as needed.
  • Fulfill various daily tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
Work Environment:
  • EMT positions may be available in full-time, part-time, or per diem capacities.
  • The role operates under the guidance of a daily supervisor.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess the following:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current EMT certification from the State of Tennessee Department of Public Health Office of Emergency Medical Services.
  • Valid CPR certification from an accredited organization.
  • Active Motor Vehicle Operator's license.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills in emergency medical situations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and interact professionally with patients and the public.
  • Physical capability to lift and maneuver patients as required.
  • Willingness to engage in community education and public relations activities.
