Youth Movement Program Facilitator

Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to plan and conduct engaging movement classes for parents and children, as well as children-only sessions, tailored for ages 1-4. The role involves creating a secure and stimulating environment filled with age-appropriate activities and games. You will guide participants through group games and individual movement exercises, focusing on enhancing large muscle motor skills, hand-eye coordination, self-esteem, and social skills.
Work Schedule
We are looking for one or two staff members for the upcoming school year with the following shifts:
Tuesday 9:30am-12:30pm
Wednesday 9:30am-12:30pm
Additional hours may be available for other daytime preschool programs as needed.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
- Ability to courteously interact with the public, acknowledging both compliments and complaints.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrated sound judgment in problem-solving and responding to customer needs.
- Proficiency in standard computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of experience working with preschool or youth.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess or be able to obtain first aid/CPR certification.
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check as mandated by the Child/Adult Abuse Information Act.
The position is based indoors at a community center with a lively atmosphere. The role requires the ability to walk, climb, bend, and stoop to fulfill job responsibilities.
