Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Teen/Tween Program Instructor to join our team As a key member of our youth program, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and inclusive recreational activities to teenagers in our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement recreational programs that cater to the interests and preferences of teenagers.
  • Provide guidance and support to teenagers as they develop life skills and social abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall recreational experience for teenagers.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of youth participants at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with teenagers, colleagues, and parents to build trust and rapport.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • At least one year of experience working with youth.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of general hiking etiquette and outdoor safety.
Working Conditions:

This position requires frequent light lifting and carrying (15-20 lbs.) up to five miles, and infrequent heavy lifting of up to 50lbs. Staff will work in indoor and outdoor settings, including multipurpose rooms, parks, playgrounds, beaches, trails, and recreation sites.
