Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the general ledger for the firm, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepare regular financial reports for management and partners, providing insightful analysis and recommendations for business growth.
- Oversee the firm's cash activity across all offices, ensuring efficient cash management and minimizing financial risks.
- Reconcile bank accounts for all office locations, verifying accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and post journal entries, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, maintaining a high level of financial integrity and accuracy.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting, providing insightful analysis and recommendations for business growth.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, with a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a professional services environment, with a proven track record of financial expertise and leadership.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced business environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting, with a strong focus on quality and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a legal services firm or professional services organization, with a strong understanding of financial operations and compliance.
- Familiarity with legal billing software, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Knowledge of trust accounting principles, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced business environment.
