Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in manufacturing, construction, or metal/mining sectors.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of full-cycle accounting, encompassing journal entries, debits/credits, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Experience in inventory management, with a preference for familiarity with LIFO inventory accounting.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is highly desirable.
  • Capability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
  • Preferred experience in the metal and mining industry.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with banks, CPA firms, and colleagues.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee inventory management and control, including monthly closeouts and physical inventory audits.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and weekly aging reports.
  • Conduct month-end closing activities, including journal entries, debits/credits, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare quarterly financial reports for banking institutions and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Administer property and casualty insurance, ensuring adequate coverage is maintained.
  • Supervise front office personnel, providing guidance and support as necessary.
  • Authorize company checks and manage banking relationships.
  • Occasionally make collections calls and oversee payroll for both office and plant staff.
  • Manage pension funds and ensure compliance with 5500 filings.
  • Collaborate with external CPA firms for various financial activities.
