Job Title: Audit Manager

The Audit Manager is a key member of the Trustco Bank team, responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of our internal controls and risk management processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough examinations and analyses of records to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement recommendations for changes to policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Lead a team of internal auditors in evaluating the Bank's operating controls, policies, procedures, and processes
  • Collaborate with external audit firms to ensure seamless audit processes
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and professional development
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and four years' experience or equivalent level of education and experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work well independently and in groups
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, including Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a business-related field
  • Certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CFIRS, CBA, CRCM desired or working towards obtaining a certification within two years
Work Environment:

The Audit Manager will work in a fast-paced office environment, with occasional travel required. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and management, and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
