Job Summary:

The RN Coordinator-Patient Care assumes responsibility and accountability for the management of the specialty clinics' patient population on an ongoing basis.

Utilizing knowledge of basic nursing principles, practices, and ethics, this role integrates RN nursing processes (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) and management (planning, organizing, directing, and controlling) to provide services and continuity of care for the patient.

This position has authority and accountability for coordinating pre-admission and post-hospital care. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Education and Experience:
  • Associate of Science Degree in Nursing required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum two years of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
  • Experience in clinical research preferred
Knowledge and Skills:

This role requires the ability to:

  • Read, write legibly, and speak in English with professional quality
  • Use computer and software programs necessary to the position
  • Relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others
  • Work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure
  • Lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate
  • Communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone
  • Think critically and work independently with minimal supervision
Licensures and Certifications:
  • Current and unrestricted California Registered Nurse license required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Valid Driver's License required at time of hire
