Position Overview:

Colliers Engineering & Design is on the lookout for an Assistant Project Manager to become a vital part of our Water Resources Division. The selected candidate will focus on hydrology and hydraulics modeling, stormwater management design, as well as Flood Hazard Area and Dam Safety Permitting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support and/or lead stormwater management initiatives emphasizing green infrastructure and low impact development, along with enhancements to stormwater infrastructure.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
- Design Stormwater Management Best Management Practices (BMPs).
- Prepare Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP).

- Execute water quality compliance calculations.
- Implement soil erosion and sediment control measures.
- Perform flood studies utilizing HEC-RAS and USEPA-SWMM.
- Conduct assessments and rehabilitation design for dams.

- Carry out dam breach analysis and hazard classification.
- Navigate Flood Hazard Area and Dam Safety permitting processes.
- Provide engineering and technical support to other departments.
- Engage in report and proposal writing.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Ideally, 5+ years of relevant experience in water resources.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Familiarity with state regulations, particularly in New Jersey.
- Proficient technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading, and other site development-related designs.
- Demonstrated skills in Civil 3D.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Keen attention to detail with strong analytical and judgment skills.
- Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
