Hazen and Sawyer is looking for a motivated entry-level engineer to engage in diverse water-related projects. The selected candidate will be involved in design teams focusing on water, wastewater, and stormwater initiatives. Responsibilities may encompass:
- Conducting preliminary studies and designing conveyance systems.
- Inspecting stormwater infrastructure.
- Upgrading wastewater treatment facilities.
- Enhancing water treatment facilities.
- Managing assets and developing green infrastructure solutions.
Fieldwork and site evaluations from the study phase through construction may be necessary. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering, or a related discipline (Master's degree is a plus).
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or intent to obtain.
- Entry-level to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with CADD and other software tools (e.g., GIS) is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills are required.
