Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pipe Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Workbox Staffing.

About the Job

This is a temporary to hire opportunity for a skilled Machine Welder/Tester to work with an automated welding machine.

The successful candidate will be responsible for various types of pipe fabrication and machine welding, ensuring high-quality welds to customer specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Weld and thread pipe to customer requirements using an automated machine.
  • Read technical drawings to determine machine adjustments and material needs.
  • Operate fabrication shop machinery to produce products according to customer expectations.
  • Set stops or guides to specified lengths as indicated by scales, rules, or templates.
  • Monitor machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions.
  • Measure workpiece dimensions to ensure accuracy of machine operation.
  • Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpieces.
  • Perform minor machine maintenance.
  • Test and repair welds.
