Testek Solutions is currently seeking an experienced machine builder/pipefitter in assembly of hydraulic & mechanical test equipment.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  2. Sets up and fabricates complex mechanical, electro-mechanical or hydraulic assemblies, subassemblies and component parts utilizing various forms or written and oral instructions, automatic and semi-automatic machines and hand tools.
  3. Performs administrative tasks associated with assembly operations which include progress tracking, job problem forms, shortage reports, schematic and BOM red lines.
  4. Must communicate with management and engineering on job progress, issues, and resolutions.
  5. Fits and assembles components according to assembly schematics, manuals, and knowledge of machine construction to construct, rebuild, and repair machines using hand tools and power tools
  6. Analyzes assembly schematics and specifications manual and plans machine building operations
  7. Verifies conformance of parts to stock list and drawings
  8. Lays out hole locations and drills and taps holes on parts for assembly
  9. Aligns components for assembly, manually or with hoist, bolts, screws, dowels, welds, or rivets parts using hand tools, rivet gun, and welding equipment.
  10. Verifies alignment and tolerance of moving parts using measuring instruments such as dial indicators and thickness gauges
  11. Assists less skilled assemblers.
  12. Tests operation of assembly by hand
  13. Assembles, sets up, and operates machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer's specification
  14. May form and fasten piping, fixtures, and attachments required to service machine with air, water, and oil
  15. May install wiring and electrical components to specifications
  16. Must be able to perform all duties in a safe and professional manner.


Requirements:

  2. Minimum of 4 years of hands-on pipe fitting experience.
  3. High school diploma or equivalent education and experience to demonstrate ability to perform the job.
  4. Hydraulics knowledge
  5. Pneumatics knowledge
  6. Must have a strong mechanical background
  7. Experience with motors and gear boxes preferred
  8. Steel Fabrication
  9. Pipe Bending
  10. Ability to read and understand drawings and schematics
  11. Basic Shop Math
  12. Experience building machines
  13. Must be a team player
  14. Must be flexible and have the ability to work with others
  15. Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced engineering/manufacturing environment
