About the Role

The Senior Business Systems Analyst position at 010 Toppan Merrill LLC provides essential support to the organization by collaborating with Business Management, Subject Matter Experts, Product Owners, Project Managers, Technical Leads, and Developers to conduct Business Needs Analysis, Requirements elicitation, Requirements elaboration, and Use Case/Story development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer consultancy on effective practices and methods for defining detailed business requirements, covering planning, documentation, analysis, and alignment with corporate standards.
  • Create and review business requirements that outline the business needs and the solution's scope.
  • Document and enhance business requirements to articulate the business needs at a functional requirement level with no assumptions about a technical solution.
  • Facilitate Technical Review Sessions to ensure requirements are verifiable and testable once a solution is established.
  • Support the implementation of the development pipeline and the delivery of software products, including vendor solutions to QA, and eventually to production.
  • Participate in product development activities across all teams as part of the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Project and Release Management to sequence and coordinate development tasks within software development.
  • Operate at a high technical level during identified phases of IT projects.
  • Explore suitable technology alternatives for given business challenges with guidance from Product Owners.
  • Formulate and define system scope and objectives based on user needs and a comprehensive understanding of business systems and industry requirements; considers the business application of technology in both current and future business contexts.
  • Develop detailed criteria for evaluating application, product, and/or tool selection based on identified product requirements; takes full responsibility for crafting business and functional requirements for complex issues.
  • Utilize comparative analysis techniques to assess and recommend comprehensive IT solutions for the organization. Offer senior-level consulting services to internal business groups and colleagues on process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing business and IT outcomes. Support the design, construction, and testing phases for broader scope enhancements and projects.
  • Lead BAs in Requirement Analysis for small to medium projects. Provide guidance and coaching to less experienced analysts.
  • Support the planning phases for building, testing, and implementing medium to large scope enhancements and projects.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional IT experience with a focus on technical and business analysis.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Testing, Quality Standards, and software product aspects (architecture, infrastructure, security, DevOps, etc.).
  • Understanding of SDLC and software development environment methodologies.
  • Proficiency in XBRL.
  • Familiarity with business and functional requirements.
  • Experience in Requirements Analysis, Planning & Prioritization execution.
  • Skilled in Requirements Elicitation and facilitation execution.
  • Knowledge of Financial Management.
  • Effective interviewing skills with stakeholders.
