Job Summary:

The Mobility Tech is responsible for performing delegated activities that include patient mobility, infection control processes, assisting patients in practicing exercises or functional activities, transporting patients to and from treatment areas, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and providing basic clerical functions to support clinical staff in the successful provision of treatment plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist clinical staff and members of the interprofessional healthcare team in providing patient care.
  • Perform patient mobility activities, including transporting patients to and from treatment areas.
  • Assist patients in practicing exercises or functional activities to promote independence and mobility.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Provide basic clerical functions to support clinical staff in the successful provision of treatment plans.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
  • Active Listening, Communication, Critical Thinking, Mgmt of Material Resources, Monitoring, Service Orientation, Social Perceptiveness, Speaking, Technology/Computer, Time Management, Writing
