shipboard IC/Navigation systems.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Candidates resume must show classroom training for Navigation Systems Maintenance Technician NEC that the Navy C School provides demonstrating in-depth knowledge of shipboard IC/Navigation systems including a minimum of six (6) years in-depth knowledge troubleshooting, repairing and assessing shipboard IC/Navigation systems.  Technician shall demonstrate a minimum of three (6) years hands-on experience on each of the listed systems.  Experience may be concurrent:

The official NEC# is V31B, or 9617

6 years experience with the following systems:
•    WSN-7 RLGN
•    IBS/Integrated Bridge Navigation System (IBNS)
•    Voyage Management System (VMS)
•    AN/SSN-6 Navigation Sensor System Interface (NAVSSI) This one is key and almost mandatory
•    Global Positioning System Based Positioning (GPNTS)
•    Navigation Critical Distribution System (NCDS)
•    Ships Control System Government (SCS-Gov)

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $33.52 - $43.70. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
