Position Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Cost Estimator Specialist to join our team at Intersect Global Limited. This role is essential in supporting our civil engineering projects, particularly within the water sector.

Key Responsibilities
As a Cost Estimator Specialist, you will:
1. Manage a diverse portfolio of projects with a total value of approximately £15M.
2. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring they receive the necessary contractual advice and support.
3. Evaluate subcontractor performance and work towards enhancing our supply chain relationships.
4. Prepare and oversee new subcontract agreements, ensuring compliance with governance standards.
5. Monitor and report on contract modifications and variations.
6. Collaborate closely with the Operational Lead to ensure accurate data recording and to identify potential risks and commercial opportunities.
7. Conduct subcontract evaluations and authorize payments in a timely manner.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of five years of experience in quantity surveying, specifically within the civil engineering or utility sectors.
- An educational background in Quantity Surveying, ideally holding an HNC or BSc degree.
- A comprehensive understanding of NEC contract forms and a proven track record in either subcontractor or main contractor environments.
