Key Responsibilities- Operations Management: Optimize labor at the shop, ensuring the optimal mix of straight time, overtime, and outside services. Manage shift patterns to match the supply of qualified technicians with the availability of equipment based on customer operating needs.
- Labor Management: Provide management, training, and development of all personnel, including Operations Supervisors, Technicians-in-Charge, and Customer Service Coordinators. Ensure the successful development and execution of the Technical Training Plan in coordination with the Field Training Team.
- Customer Management: Directly responsible for customer relationship management, including issue resolutions, customer satisfaction, and retention. Ensure vehicle maintenance cycle time and meet or exceed Delivered in Time Promised objectives based on customer needs.
- Asset Management: Directs direct reports in maintaining the appearance and maintenance of assigned locations, including sustaining 6S standards throughout the shop. Execute Asset Management initiatives at the shop, including tooling and equipment needs and vehicle specifications.
- Quality Management: Responsible for Quality Inspections of PM & repairs, as well as performing In-Process Reviews on non-PM breakdown root cause analysis. Implement corrective actions locally and communicate issues to Technical Assistance as needed.
- Financial Management: Ensure the shop delivers against Net Maintenance Cost per Unit objectives without sacrificing quality, safety, or customer satisfaction. Implement cost control measures related to maintenance operations budget and location P&L statement to meet financial objectives.
- A minimum of two years of experience in an operations environment or demonstrated success in a Ryder role.
- One year of supervisory experience required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
