Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Dayton Primary Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine clinical tasks, including taking and recording vital signs, medical histories, and preparing patients for examination.
  • Assist with minor procedures, such as injections and vaccinations, under the direction of a physician or health practitioner.
  • Support practice needs with clerical tasks, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and test results.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and safety.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant Certification (NHA, NCCT, AMT, AAMA, NCMA, AMCA, AECA, or NAHP) preferred.
  • At least 6 months of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification approved by AHA required.
