Respiratory Therapy Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapy Supervisor to join our team at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). As a key member of our Respiratory Services department, you will be responsible for supervising a team of respiratory therapists and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Direct Supervision: Provide guidance and oversight to direct reports, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to perform their duties effectively.
- Human Resources Management: Manage the performance of direct reports, providing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to help them achieve their full potential.
- Department Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the Respiratory Services department, ensuring efficient workflows, effective scheduling, and high patient satisfaction.
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Care
- 2 years of previous Respiratory Care lead/charge or supervisor experience
- Skilled in organizational behavior
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
- Ability to work as a team member in an interdisciplinary setting
- Effective communication in verbal, written, and electronic media
- Computer and word processing skills
- Valid Oregon Respiratory Therapist License
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, depending on the specific requirements of the role
- Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care, Healthcare Administration, or core science (chemistry, biology, etc.)
- Knowledge of adult learning theories
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to build teams and integrate existing teams
- Database queries and reporting, data analysis, Lean methodologies
- Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS) or Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) credential, depending on the specific requirements of the role
