Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Structural Project Engineer to join our team in Franklin or Nashville. The ideal candidate will be a licensed PE in Tennessee with a minimum of 5 years of experience in bridge design. The successful candidate will work within a team of professionals designing and developing plans for bridge and retaining wall structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review structural and geometrical calculations for bridge design projects
  • Lead structural designers on bridge design projects
  • Prepare and review plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports necessary for bridge projects
  • Work with clients in the development of scopes of work and fee estimate proposals
  • Perform complex modeling analysis and/or design
  • Check and sign off on basic design calculations, quantities, and plan elements
  • Model, analyze and/or design elements of a project and coordinate development with other elements and disciplines within the project
  • Work independently and develop task deliverables in a competent and reviewable manner
  • Apply advanced software knowledge to project elements and details
Requirements
  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
  • PE License in Tennessee or ability to obtain through reciprocity
  • Minimum of 5 years of bridge design experience but 8 years of experience is preferred
  • Experience working with TDOT and local municipalities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Progressive experience with developing contracts and utilizing Bently CAD and design software
  • Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules
  • Ability to perform complex analysis and design
  • Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects
