Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate information flow to operating departments and production schedules, serving as a liaison between sales and production regarding schedule changes.
  • Update daily schedules to balance efficiencies and customer needs, reporting daily metrics to Plant Management.
  • Ensure customer on-time shipment performance.
  • Execute and maintain the monthly plan (SIOP) and associated T-7 initiatives to achieve on-time shipments meeting internal and external needs.
  • Drive efficiency across the supply chain by planning a production schedule that anticipates and adapts to variable demand requirements in support of the operating plan (SIOP).
  • Recognize forward risks in the supply plan (SIOP) and accurately communicate implications with proposed solutions.
  • Determine work schedules based on customer orders and raw material and production capacity availability.
  • Recommend and assist Plant Management in long-range capacity requirement planning, defining capital equipment and manpower needs.
  • Ensure compliance with established facility safety policies and procedures and other regulations (IE: GMP, FSSC, HAACP) as applicable.
  • Interact and behave professionally, treating all associates respectfully and professionally while maintaining company code of ethics.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Previous manufacturing production scheduling experience required; printing industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to communicate with other associates, customers, and vendors.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Organized and thorough when giving and receiving information. Giving and receiving information effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of computer and business operating systems.
