About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Outpatient Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region. As an Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals struggling with mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as an independent clinician, consulting with physicians to offer assistance to patients with mental health concerns.
  • Diagnose and treat patients using evidence-based psychosocial interventions, such as CBT, motivational interviewing, and behavioral activation.
  • Work closely with medical professionals, including PCPs and psychiatrists, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of direct clinical experience delivering behavioral health care in a relevant setting.
  • Comfort with using clinical expertise in an independent manner.
  • Prior formal training and experience in brief, structured counseling techniques.
  • Competence with DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and treatment planning.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish rapport quickly with a wide range of people.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with evidence-based models of behavioral health care, such as the IMPACT model or SBIRT model.
  • Experience working with medically ill patients in a primary care setting.
  • Experience working with all age ranges of patients.
