About the Organization:
The Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM) is in search of a Student Financial Services Coordinator to become an integral part of our team. In this role, you will be essential in delivering financial assistance information and guidance to students throughout their educational experience.

Position Overview:
The Student Financial Services Coordinator will operate under the guidance of the ICOM Director of Financial Aid, assisting both current and prospective students with their financial assistance applications. Key responsibilities include evaluating financial aid applications, assessing eligibility for aid, structuring financial packages, managing loan processes, tracking student academic performance, and ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in completing financial aid applications and understanding eligibility requirements
  • Educate students about available financial assistance options and procedures
  • Monitor and evaluate student academic performance
  • Calculate Return to Title IV amounts as necessary
  • Review financial aid applications and address any discrepancies
  • Modify student eligibility based on individual circumstances
  • Provide financial aid counseling and conduct exit interviews
  • Administer financial aid programs in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Stay updated on financial aid legislation and guidelines
  • Facilitate presentations and workshops for students
  • Assist with various Student Services initiatives
  • Direct students to appropriate support resources
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in financial aid administration within a medical college setting is preferred
  • Familiarity with financial aid laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective organizational and planning skills
  • Interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
