Job Summary

Bellefaire JCB is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foster Care Supervisor to join our team. As a Foster Care Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical supervision to the Foster Care program and staff, including recruitment, orientation, and ongoing supervision and evaluation of case managers and support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the professional growth of staff, including hiring, evaluating, promoting, and discharging.
  • Contribute to program development, conceptualizing and assessing all elements of current and new programs.
  • Supervise and maintain adequate and timely client records, reports, and billing.
  • Ensure standards and regulations set by accrediting and licensing bodies are maintained by Foster Care staff.
  • Conduct or coordinate staff training to provide necessary skills for implementing the program.
  • Develop, administer, and be responsible for the program budget in collaboration with the Director of Foster Care and fiscal staff.
  • Represent the Agency in developing or maintaining relationships with other organizations, including sister agencies, public agencies, managed care companies, insurance companies, funders, and referral sources.
  • Ensure program staff participates in agency research projects to evaluate the program's effectiveness.
  • Ensure program staff maintains high standards of ethical and professional conduct.
  • Carry a caseload as necessary, providing psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, psychotherapy, and therapeutic behavioral services.
  • Provide adequate and appropriate supervision for all clients, including monitoring and observing placement foster homes at least twice a month.
  • Recognize the significance of the primary family in the client's life and demonstrate skills to engage the client, primary family, and other supportive adults in the treatment planning process.
  • Assess foster parent's skills and abilities, provide feedback, and evaluate foster parent's performance and ability to meet individual treatment needs of the youth.
  • Provide primary parent guidance and permanency planning, promote a working relationship between the primary family and the foster family, supervise family visits, and provide advocacy as needed and/or indicated.
  • Participate in the re-certification of foster homes, assist with annual and bi-annual audits, and maintain current, thorough knowledge of state and county rules and regulations regarding foster care.
  • Complete all documentation in a thorough and timely manner and meet productivity requirements as established by the department.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work or related field required.
  • Valid Ohio LISW or LPCC required; Certified Assessor preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills, including expertise in school-based counseling, crisis intervention, family education, and behavioral interventions.
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.
  • Practice-Based Learning & Quality Improvement: Demonstrates the ability to assess and continually improve the services delivered as an individual provider and as a professional team.
  • Screening & Assessment: Demonstrates the ability to conduct brief, evidence-based, and developmentally appropriate screening and to conduct or arrange for more detailed assessments when indicated.
  • Care Planning & Coordination: Demonstrates the ability to create and implement integrated care plans, ensuring access to an array of linked services, and the exchange of information among clients, family members, and providers.
  • Core Expertise: Possesses skill, knowledge, and abilities to perform the essential duties of their role; keeps knowledge up to date.
  • Cultural Competency: Demonstrates awareness, sensitivity, and skills in working professionally with diverse individuals, groups, and communities who represent various cultural and personal backgrounds and characteristics.
  • Interpersonal Communication: Communicates clearly using verbal, nonverbal, and written skills in a professional context; demonstrates clear understanding and use of professional language.
  • Professional & Ethical Conduct: Adheres to professional values such as honesty, personal responsibility, and accountability; applies ethical concepts within the scope of work and adheres to Agency policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Functions effectively as a member of a professional team that includes employees, clients, and family members.
  • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Recognizes problems and responds appropriately; gathers information and sorts through it to identify and address root cause issues; makes timely decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and expertise in Foster Care and Adoption services.
  • Proven experience in public relations, community development, and both clinical and administrative supervision.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and their families.

Salary: Approximately $62,000 annually
