Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Instruction: Develop and deliver engaging and effective instruction to students in Aeronautics courses, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Assess student learning through various methods, including exams, quizzes, and projects, and provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Student Support: Provide individualized support to students, including academic advising, mentoring, and guidance.
  • Course Development: Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments, to ensure alignment with program and college goals.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with industry developments and best practices in Aeronautics education, and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Aeronautics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in Aeronautics, including teaching, industry experience, or a combination of both.
  • Certifications: Current Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI) and Class I or II medical certificate.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and proficiency in educational technology.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The instructor will be required to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
