Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to enhance our financial team at Quintillion Networks. This position is integral to our financial operations and will report directly to the Controller.

Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant will oversee essential components of our accounting functions, including but not limited to Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), journal entries, and the maintenance of our general ledger. This role is vital for ensuring precise financial reporting and upholding the fiscal integrity of our organization.

Key Duties:

  • Maintain comprehensive vendor and customer records along with the general ledger utilizing QuickBooks across various subsidiaries.
  • Manage accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and debt amortization schedules effectively.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly customer invoices; conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheets and bank accounts.
  • Review, process, and accurately categorize vendor invoices; execute payments through checks, wire transfers, and ACH.
  • Record weekly bank transactions, credit card transactions, cash receipts, and intercompany transactions.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to prepare payroll journal entries and necessary documentation.
  • Assist in the monthly closing process and perform month-end journal entries.
  • Support year-end activities, including 1099 preparation and W-9 management.
  • Adhere to internal controls and follow established process checklists to ensure compliance.
  • Engage in special projects such as audits, data analysis, and account reconciliations.
  • Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting, along with other ad hoc reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Accounting with 3-5 years of relevant experience required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 5+ years preferred.

Experience Required:

  • Prior experience as a full-charge bookkeeper is highly desirable.
  • 2-5 years of experience in general accounting, demonstrating a solid understanding of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is essential.

Skills Needed:

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; intermediate skills in MS Word and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, showcasing strong initiative and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and the capacity to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
