Manufacturing Engineer Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate closely with the production, engineering, and procurement teams to enhance cost efficiency and product quality by leveraging expertise in methodologies and materials relevant to specialized sectors or general manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform process evaluations, including time and motion studies, process optimization, and facility layout planning to effectively meet customer requirements.
  • Introduce innovative manufacturing techniques, systems, machinery, and materials while assessing cost, time, quality, and volume considerations.
  • Support the design and development of novel manufacturing processes and equipment to achieve financial goals.
  • Provide training to staff on new processes and machinery.
  • Revise manufacturing documentation and bills of materials as necessary.

Analytical Problem-Solving

  • Document tools and assess engineering designs to minimize manufacturing expenses.
  • Propose design modifications for cost-effective manufacturing.
  • Advise on the acquisition of new machinery and equipment.
  • Instruct employees on the operation of new equipment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with product knowledge is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • 0-2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
  • Global perspective, particularly in North America.
